Padi hibrida mulai dikembangkan oleh para peneliti untuk mendukung peningkatan produksi padi nasional karena sifatnya yang dapat menghasilkan lebih tinggi dibandingkan inbrida. Namun, di Indonesia hasil panen belum sesuai harapan, salah satunya penerapan teknik budidaya kurang cermat, termasuk pemupukan. Penelitian ini dilakukan mengetahui dosis pemupukan nitrogen optimum pada perolehan persentase gabah isi tertinggi. menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk N (0 kg N/ha, 100 N/ha 200 N/ha), kedua varietas (Mapan-P05, Intani 602 SL8SHS-Sterling). Variabel diamati meliputi karakteristik pertumbuhan (jumlah daun) serta komponen per malai, bobot rumpun, isi). Data penelitian dianalisis analisis varians regresi polinomial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Mapan-P05, SL8SHS-Sterling 98,79 (R2=0,805), 104,34 (R2=0,919) 99,78 (R2=0,809).
